# Staking Factory

Staking is a popular utility in DeFi that reduces token supply by motivating holders to lock up their tokens.

<mark style="color:blue;">**Ape Express**</mark> plans that creators will use the factory with any token created on the platform or other tokens, enabling staking for any available ERC-20 token (or equivalent on other chains). The platform will allow creators to customize options such as reward distribution amounts, lock-up periods, early withdrawal penalties, and more.
